It’s not often that I am mixing cocktails at my house, generally a bottle of wine is opened, poured & enjoyed. But when Two Oceans asked me to create a cocktail with their mouth watering Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot I chose to stick to the only cocktail recipe I know! After all, Sangria is tried, tested and true…and Mother’s Day is MY day too, and I choose Sangria!Named “Two Oceans” after the region in South Africa where the warm Indian Ocean and Cold Atlantic Ocean meet, this wine is nothing short of delicious (yes, I snuck a sip before Sangria preparation!).
If you are planning a Mother’s Day brunch or BBQ, add this easy to make recipe in – mix the night before and enjoy with your guests while celebrating all of the beautiful mothers in your life.
1 bottle Two Oceans red or white wine
2 apples, cored and chopped
2 oranges, peeled and chopped
3 cups chilled sparkling water
Combine wine and fruit and refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, top with sparkling water. Enjoy!
