Visitor to Niagara on the LakeI was thrilled we had the opportunity to extend our Ontario vacation by a few days and venture to Niagara on the Lake. I’ve never had the chance to tour “wine country” anywhere, and heard nothing but wonderful things about this region! View of Prince of Whales Hotel Niagara on the LakeAfter I obsessively googled numerous images for Niagara on the Lake, it was apparent that an adorable bed and breakfast would be the only way to really get the true experience. After much research and reviews, I ended up choosing Lakelands Bed & Breakfast
I was thrilled when we arrived to this beautiful property. Our room was a modern luxurious oasis and the friendly owners June & Zoli were so welcoming! Downtown Niagara on the LakeThe first night we arrived we took bicycles to our dinner reservation which was the perfect way to enjoy a hot summer night.  We dined at newly opened Backhouse, and were impressed with the delicious local food, knowledgeable staff and amazing cocktails. Not only was the food top end, the majority of the ingredients are grown on the attached property (Oh right I almost forgot, you have to try an Old Fashioned here!). niagara on the lake (11 of 1) niagara on the lake (12 of 1)niagara on the lake (25 of 1) niagara on the lake (34 of 1)Shaw Festival Theatre Niagara on the LakeThe town is adorable with every home more unique and beautiful than the next.
